The intention of the CEYP is to work as a network of Nursery Schools and Primary Schools with Nursery classes across various West Midlands authorities, with one Partner School from each region acting as the Regional Hub for the partnership.
Between them, the CEYP Partner Schools also contribute and teach modules on the following areas of Early Years Practice:
• The characteristics of effective teaching and learning
• Environments for Early Years
• Integrated working
• Child-Initiated Learning
• Provision for two-year-olds
• Tracking children’s progress in the Early Years Foundation Stage

Schools within the CEYP work locally, nationally, and internationally in both Initial Teacher Training and School Improvement.

Teaching staff in all of our Partner Schools are Mentor trained and provide this support to students on placement.
Partner Schools
All of our partner schools have been providing student placements for over 10 years, have extensive experience supporting trainee teachers, and are rated either 'Good' or 'Outstanding' by Ofsted.
